Baobab is a learning game before it’s a quiz. That only works if the facts are right — so every question is researched, cited, and open to correction.
How we build a question
- Cited, both languages. Every question carries a source, and questions and their stories are written in English and French so nothing is lost in translation.
- Reputable references. We draw on encyclopaedic, governmental, academic and established reference works, and prefer sources that are widely verifiable.
- Context over trivia. After each answer — right or wrong — the app shows the story behind it and where it comes from, so you leave knowing why.
- Respectful framing. Africa is 54 countries and countless cultures. We aim for accuracy and respect, avoid stereotypes, and represent every region.
Where you’ll see the sources
Sources are shown in the app, on the feedback screen that follows each answer and in question review. This page explains the method; the specific citation for any question lives next to that question as you play.
Found a mistake?
History gets revised and errors slip through. If something looks wrong, tell us the question and what’s off, and we’ll review it against the source and fix it fast. Corrections ship to everyone through an app update.
